Custom Outdoor Living Spaces & Backyard Designs in Monroe, NC
Creating a complete outdoor living space involves much more than simply installing a patio. Larger projects often combine paver patios, retaining and seating walls, steps, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces or fire features, landscape lighting, drainage, elevation changes and other elements that must all work together as one finished space.
At Visions Landscape Supply & Design, we design and build custom outdoor living areas for homeowners throughout Monroe, Union County and the surrounding Charlotte area. Our projects range from expanded patio and entertaining areas to complete backyard renovations designed around the home, property and the way each family wants to use their outdoor space.
Every project begins with careful planning. We evaluate the existing property, elevations, drainage, access, dimensions and how the proposed outdoor living area will connect with the home before developing the design. Our 3D landscape design process then allows you to visualize the overall layout and make changes before construction begins.
Construction Experience That Goes Beyond Landscaping
Our approach to outdoor living construction is backed by hands-on building experience dating back to 1992. Over the years, that experience has included residential construction and a wide range of building projects requiring a strong understanding of foundations, measurements, elevations, leveling, dimensions and construction calculations. Those same fundamentals are critical when building a large outdoor living area. Patios, walls, steps, outdoor kitchens and other features cannot simply look good individually—they need to be properly planned and constructed so that elevations align, drainage works correctly, foundations are appropriate and each component fits together as part of the overall project. We believe in basic Building 101 principles: start with a proper foundation, measure accurately, establish correct elevations, account for drainage and structural requirements, and build each phase correctly before moving to the next. That combination of construction knowledge, hands-on experience and 3D design allows us to approach larger backyard renovations as complete construction projects rather than a collection of unrelated landscape features.
